Phillip and I started dating, the summer before our senior year in high school, spending many hours talking on the phone. In a very short time, we both seemed to know that this was "meant to be". We were -and remained- very different people, but we married at age 20 and recently celebrated our 52nd anniversary. Although we expected to be together, always, there is no time remaining, following his eight year battle with cancer.

Our family members and I grieve the loss of a precious and much-loved husband / father / grandfather and brother.

Son, Aaron (wife, Kristin, daughter, Caitlin), of Burnsville, NC

Son, Joshua (son Caleb), of Kingsport

Son, Noah (wife, Frankie, sons, Bryson and Gavin), of Kingsport

Phillip's sister, Linda Allen, lives in New Port Richey, FL

During our 50 years in Kingsport, Phillip formed true and meaningful friendships with many, many people. They, too, grieve.

A memorial service for Phillip will take place at Fountain of Life Bible Church, with Dr. Vic Young, on Wednesday, March 19, at 7:00pm. Visitation with the family will take place from 6:30pm until 7:00pm,in the sanctuary, and after the service (approximately 7:30), in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend and dress is casual.
