His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:23. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Paul R. Griswold returned to his Father in Heaven and the loving arms of his wife, Shelvie, on June 19, 2019. He was born on January 20, 1938 in Goodrich, Wisconsin to Oren and Addie Elizabeth Griswold. His greatest gifts were showing love and encouragement to everyone he came in contact with. He loved being together with his family and friends. Second only to his lifelong commitment to the Lord Jesus, was his total devotion to loving his family well. His life was most fulfilled through his holy calling as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger and has helped countless people find their way to Christ. His light here on earth will be so missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelvie, his parents: Oren and Addie Elizabeth Griswold, brothers, Warren and Lyman, sisters, Margie and Celia, and daughter-in-law Donna (Steven) Griswold. Survivors include: two sons, Steven (Samantha) Griswold of Mooresburg, TN, and Daniel (Debbie) Griswold of Kingsport, TN; five grandchildren, Amy (Jacob) Brecheisen of Wisconsin, Steven Jr. (Kassadee) Griswold of Chandler, AZ, Jenna and Jacob Griswold of Kingsport, TN, and Violet of Mooresburg, TN. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, his sister, Mary (Peter) Milosevich of Watertown, WI, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gene (Sandy) Rizzi of Rib Lake, WI, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Woodland Community Church, Westboro, WI on June 29, 2019 at 11AM. A memorial service will also be held at Celebration Church, Blountville, TN and is tentatively set for July 6th from 2pm to 4pm. Paul's wishes were to be cremated.
