In Loving Memory of Sgt. First Class Paul B. Johnson Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sgt. First Class Paul B. Johnson Jr., who left us on February 11, 2025, at the age of 66. Paul courageously fought a long battle with cancer and passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends.

A man of immense humor and wisdom, Paul cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His passion for fishing and motorcycling, along with his unwavering spirit, will forever be remembered.

Paul was a proud member of Kingsport Lodge No. 688 F&AM and Jericho Shrine No. 180, Legion of Honor where he found deep camaraderie and brotherhood.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Tammy Johnson, his daughter Christy Johnson of Clarksville, TN, and his son Chad Johnson of Kingsport, TN. He also leaves behind his sister Teresa and Bobby Seymore of Damascus, VA, and his brother Harry and Dreama Rouse of Glade Spring, VA; several nieces and nephews. They will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest, just as he did.

A special thanks is extended to the staff and doctors of the James H. Quillen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center for their compassionate care during Paul's final journey.

Paul's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Masonic funeral will be held at Trinity Memorial on Thursday, February 20th, at 4:00pm with his Brothers from Kingsport Lodge No 688 officiating. American Legion Hammond's Post 3 / Gate City 265 will provide military honors. Private interrment will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later time.
