Norma Kate Gray

Norma Kate Gray, 85, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
A native of Fall Branch, Tennessee, Norma was born to Herman and Nellie Lee. Norma spent most of her life in Sullivan Gardens where she married Bobby Gray and the couple raised four children. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member at Glen Alpine United Methodist Church in Sullivan Gardens. Norma was an avid birdwatcher and also enjoyed butterflies and flowers.
In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her sisters, Mable Etta Lee and Frankie Brooks; brother, James David Lee.
She is survived by her sons, Alan Gray, Randy (Kathy) Gray; daughters, Roma (Keith) Darnell, Rena (Tim) Vance; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Vance, Kayla (Michael) McMeans, Sarah (Ben) Lane, Jana (Caleb) Pearson, Tyler Darnell, Dalton Gray; great-grandchildren, Taylor Gray, Chloe Lane, Colton McMeans, Elijah Lane, Kyson McMeans, Palmer Pearson, Willow Pearson; sisters, Faye (Dennis) Davis and Helen Wells; multiple nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation and thankfulness for Suncrest Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
Visitation will be held at 12 PM on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM with Reverend Mark Huffine officiating. A graveside committal will follow at 3 PM at Zion Cemetery, Baileyton, Tennessee, with Chaplin Gabe Manis officiating
Pallbearers will be Matt Vance, Tyler Darnell, Dalton Gray, Michael McMeans, Ben Lane, Caleb Pearson. Honorary pallbearers are Colton McMeans, Kyson McMeans and Elijah Lane.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Norma's name may be made to Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.
