Nick Allen Cody, 72, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, April 01, 2018. He was of the baptist faith. He was born on June 28, 1945 to Lula Mae Bowen Cody Parrott and Homer Cody. He graduated from Sullivan High School. Nick worked for the Sullivan County Sheriffs Department for 35 years and at the time of his retirement, Nick was a Lieutenant Detective. He was in the FOP and he had been involved in street rod car shows for many years.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by the only dad he ever knew, his very special pop, Bill Parrott; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Pat Cody (Kingsport, TN); two sons and their wives, Chad and Robin Cody (Myrtle Beach, SC) and Billy and Rachel Cody (Kingsport, TN); two stepsons and their wives, Michael Shane and Gina Herron (Myrtle Beach, SC) and Marc and Wendie Logan (Kingsport, TN); 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many special family members and friends; and his furry friend, Izzy.
Visitation for Nick will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Evangelist Michael Herron officiating. Music will be provided by Tony Peters and Charlie Tiller and family. There will be a viewing of Nick the night of the service and he will then be cremated per his wishes.
