Nevaeh Ann Slaughter, 19, of Kingsport joined her mother in heaven on July 25, 2023. She was born in Kingsport on September 18, 2003. Nevaeh was a 2021 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda Slaughter Ball, on March 3, 2023.
Those left to cherish her memory are her father James Stuart Propst, III; half-brother Isaiah Blalock; half-sisters Keira Brown, Tessa Propst and McKinley Propst; paternal grandmother Donna Propst; great-aunt Regina Payne and her family; step-father Jerome Ball; step-sister Haley Montgomery; maternal grandparents Tom Slaughter and Theresa Dingus Slaughter; aunt Sara Slaughter; uncle Nicholas Slaughter (Carly); special cousin Cody Porter; great-aunt Brenda Neas (Steve); and the woman whom she considered a second mother, Miranda Williams who made Nevaeh a part of her family along with Miranda's husband David and children Keegan, Caleigh, and Emersyn.
A visitation for Nevaeh's family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 1-3 PM at Trinity Memorial Center, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN. At 2:30, anyone who wishes will be given the opportunity to share their fondest memories of Nevaeh. Because of her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, you may bring a donation with you to the visitation to be given to the local animal shelter in Nevaeh's memory. Needs include blankets, towels, cat food, dog food, pet toys.
