Nathaniel Rollins

Nathaniel “Nate” Rollins, 61, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Nate was born to Charles and Mabel Rollins in Washington County, Tennessee. He lived his life in northeast Tennessee, in Kingsport for thirty-five years where he worked for the city public works department, and for TPI in Gray. He was married for all of those thirty-five years to Karen Rollins and the couple had one child, Nathan. Nate also had three other children, Dustin Rollins, Tyrone Taylor, and Justin Blankenship. Also known as “Chubby,” Nate enjoyed watching rodeos and wearing his boots. He was a Nascar fan, especially of Bubba Wallace, and he was a Texas Longhorn football fan. In addition to his parents, Nate is preceded in death by several siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Karen Rollins; children, Nathan Rollins, Dustin Rollins, Tyrone Taylor and Justin Blankenship; grandchildren, Keenon and Lamear; brothers, Charles “Pap” Rollins (Susie), Ralph Rollins (Geneva); sisters, Mary Rollins, Mattie Rollins, Hazel Gillenwater (Larry); multiple nieces and nephews, including Darrrell Manuel.
