Nancy Ann Roller

August 06, 1940 - April 30, 2018

Nancy Ann Roller, 77, Blountville, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday April 30, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness resulting from a stroke. She was born August 6, 1940 in Blountville, TN the daughter of Sylvan and “Maggie” (Bright) Laughlin. 

Nancy married the love of her life Burl Leonard Roller on September 26, 1956 in the backseat of a car and shortly started a family thereafter. She retired from working at the Bristol K-Mart after just under 25 years of service.

Nancy attended Deck Valley and Gateway Baptist Churches. She enjoyed gardening, canning food, working on her farm, cooking large family meals, tending to her dogs Snoopy and Candy, and raising her many grand/great grand kids.

Nancy is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Leonard Roller, Blountville, TN; children, David Leon Roller (Sheila), Patsy Roller, Jack Roller, and Tony Roller (Lisa) all of Blountville, TN; sister Linda Whitaker of Blountville, TN; grandchildren, Donald, Jennifer, Jamie, Jackilyn, Deahana, Blake, Maggie, Whitney, Jacob, Noah, and Lucas; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William, Grady, Lloyd, Carl Allan, and Jake Laughlin; sisters, Loma King, Martha Whitaker, and Jessie Whitaker; and son Mike Roller.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday May 2nd from 6pm to 8pm at Trinity Memorial. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Malcolm Shelton officiating with special music by Cindy Roberts and Lisa Roller.

She will be interred at Oak Hill Memorial Garden in Kingsport, TN on Thursday May 3rd at 1pm. Pallbearers will be grandsons Donald Black, Blake Roller, Jacob Roller and Michael Black; nephews Greg and Tim Whitaker. Honorary Pallbearers include grandsons Lucas and Noah Roller, and great-grandson Brandon Campbell.
