Ms. Teresa Lavohne Stokes

John 11:25-26 Teresa "Terri" Lavohne Stokes, 60, passed away on Saturday (September 12, 2015) at Holston Manor in Kingsport. Terri was born on October 8, 1954 in Gate City, VA. She was the youngest child of the late Cecil and Dotsie Byrd Stokes. Terri was a homemaker, a proud mother, and a loving Nana. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. She lived most of her life in Kingsport and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Anita Gay Stokes and Shelby Jean Stokes Booher; brothers, Jack, Sammy, and Garland Stokes. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amy Joyner Crawford & husband Darrell, and Lauren Venable; son, Travis Joyner & wife Cristin; grandchildren, Aaron Joyner, Lyndsey Crawford, Ragan Joyner, William Joyner, Brody Venable, Adelynn McGathey, and Jacob Joyner; brothers, Bob, Don, and Tommy Stokes; sisters, Mary Sue Fuller, Jane Griffin, and Brenda Wolfe; sister-in-law, Beverly Stokes, Reba Stokes, and Carolyn Stokes; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (September 15, 2015) from 5 to 7 pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Life Celebration Chapel (1221 Stewball Circle Kingsport). The funeral service will follow with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating. The committal service will be private.
