Ms. Geneva Conkin

May 25, 1941 — August 30, 2015

Ms. Geneva Conkin, 74, gained her angel wings on Sunday (August 30, 2015). She was born and raised in the Blairs Gap community and was a member of Fairview Holiness Church. She was a very helpful, kind, and caring woman. Geneva loved to sing and collect dolls and she will be remembered for her bright smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike & Nellie Conkin; brother, Ellis Conkin; sister, Brenda Sue Crawford; nephew, Roger Wallen; and niece, Wanda Arnold. She is survived by her sister, Ella Ward; two nieces, Sandra Wallen and Lori Mann & husband, Jason; three nephews, Randy Wallen & wife, Brenda, Terry Wallen and Richard Crawford & wife, Karen; special cousin, Clara Jean Bragg; great-nephews, Dustin Wallen, Michael Johnson, Cody Wallen, Josh Marsh and Tyler Mann; great-nieces, Taylor Mann and Kiesha Dolen; and a host a friends. The family will greet guests and share memories on Wednesday (September 2, 2015) from 4 to 5:30 at Trinity Memorial Centers Life Celebration Chapel (1221 Stewball Circle). The funeral service will follow with Pastor Danny Dolen officiating. A committal service will be held Thursday (September 3, 2015) at Mowell Family Cemetery (R.C. Barrett Road off of Lonestar Road). Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Ella Ward. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to P.O.
