Ms. Diana Jean Brookman

Diana Jean Brookman, 67, of Church Hill, entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday (April 12, 2015) at her residence with her family by her side after an extended illness. Diana was of the Catholic faith. She was a retired Registered Nurse, but a life-long caregiver. Diana took most pride in her family, the love of her late husband Leonard, and her career as a nurse. She was a very loving, kind and compassionate person who enjoyed helping others in need. She will be sorely missed by all whom knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Early Brookman; parents, Michael & Rosemary McFalda; and sister, Margie Mazoway. Diana is survived by two daughters, Rosie Chamberlain & Melinda Brookman; son, Richard Brookman & wife Amy; six grandchildren, Casey, Emily, Aaron, Logan, Ariel, & Sawyer; one great-grandchild, Ella Rose; and five sisters. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Dominic's Catholic Church (2517 N John B Dennis Hwy, Kingsport) on Wednesday (April 15, 2015) at 10 am. The committal service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
