Ms. Debra Sue Jenkins

February 8, 1962 — April 15, 2015

Debra Sue Jenkins, 53, went to be with the lord on Wednesday (April 15, 2015) due to a house fire. Born in Sullivan County, she was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church. Debra was a courageous, warmed hearted, passionate woman having a generous and gentle soul. She will be sorely missed by all. She is preceded in death by her soul-mate, Steven L. Morrison; current husband, Richard J. Jenkins; mother, Della Johnson; father, Kennith Johnson, five brothers, Eddie Johnson, Rocky Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Johnny Ward, & Michael S. Ward; and sister, Linda Johnson. She leaves behind five daughters, April Mitchell and husband Chris, Brandi Morrison and husband John, Jennifer (Sissy) Morrison and husband Russell, Stefanie Morrison, & Melissa Morgan Morrison; her three sons, Michael Morrison and wife Brianna, Roger Jenkins, & Allen Jenkins; mother, Loretta Light and husband Kennith,of Nashville; seven sisters, Donna Johnson ,Rhonda Johnson Franklin, Darlene Johnson Rose, Julie Ward, Donita Johnson Jeter, & Toby Ward; six brothers, Jackie Johnson, Tony Ward, Jackie Light, Scottie Light, Lynn Light, & Kenny Johnson; four granddaughters, Allie J. Morrison, Sophie Scanlan, Kayleigh Repass, & Courtney Scanlan; five grandsons, Steven J. Morrison, Cameron A. Rose, Uriah Mooneyham, Austin Repass, & Gage Scanlan; and several nieces & nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Freedom Fellowship Church (401 W. Sullivan, Kingsport) Wednesday (April 22, 2015) at 4 p.m.. A meal of comfort will be provided following the services, all are welcome. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the special friends from Hunger First (Michael Gillis & Theresa Smith), Shades of Grace Pastor Will Shewey, Freedom Fellowship Pastor Roy Lane, Judy McInturff, Aaron Gray, and also Debbies life-long friend Rita Robinson.
