Mrs. Irene Rose Dixon

Irene Rose (Weigand) Dixon, 88, completed her journey home on Thursday (May 28, 2015). She was a loving wife and mother to her five children. Irene enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all she had a special relationship with children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Dixon; her parents, John and Margaret Weigand; four brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her loving children, Sandra Thomas (Richard), Patricia Lane (Randy), Donald Dixon (Ping), Marian Nelson (Rick McKay), and Jayne Dixon; six grandchildren: six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Thursday (June 4, 2015) at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home at 5:30 pm with Father Michael Cummins and Pastor Scott Tipton officiating. The family will meet guests and share memories at 4:30 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Mountain States Health Alliance Hospice (101 Med Tech Parkway, Suite 100, Johnson City, TN 37604) or to a charity of your choice.
