Trevor Alan Addington, 29, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (April 18, 2015) at his residence with his mother by his side. Despite being born with medical difficulties, Trevor was very brave during his journey through life. His mother stood by his side caring for him through every medical battle he faced. He was loved very much by his family. Trevor was a 2004 graduate of Twin Springs High School. He enjoyed playing Xbox, playing with his son Lundy and nephew Noah, and traveling to Ohio to spend time with family. Trevor will be remembered for his heart of gold and his great sense of humor. Despite his medical history, the Lord blessed Trevor with his son, Lundy. Trevor was most proud of Lundy, filling Trevor's heart with joy and happiness. He is preceded in death by his father, Alan Wayne Addington; step-father, Tony C. Shelton; maternal grandfather, Nicholas Gerschutz; and paternal grandmother, Phyllis Shirley Addington. He is survived by his son, Lundy Kai Alan Addington; mother, Pamela Addington-Shelton; sister Amy Gillenwater & husband Jeremiah; nephew Noah Gillenwater, step-sister, Chei Michelle Stanley & husband Brad, niece Paisley Grace Stanley; step-brother, Tony C. Shelton, II; grandmother, Marcella Gerschutz; grandfather, S.J. Addington; several cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. The family will greet guests and share memories at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (1221 Stewball Circle Kingsport) Tuesday (April 21, 2015) from 4 to 6 p.m. The funeral service will follow with Pastors Mark Sexton and Michael Peters officiating. Gospel singing will be provided by Midway Baptist Choir. A committal service will be held Wednesday (April 22, 2015) at Addington Frame Cemetery (SR 72, Veterans Memorial Highway Nickelsville) at 11:30 a.m. Those wishing to go in procession are asked to meet at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Trevor Allen Addington.
