Mr. Samuel James Sturgill

"In real life, I want to spread love so hard" "If you minimize your cost of living, you maximize your power of giving" Samuel James Sturgill, 23, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (September 19, 2015). He enjoyed nature, working out, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. James lived life to the fullest. He will be remembered for the inspiration he was to others. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edith June Humphries & James Hendrix Godsey; paternal grandparents, Betty Jean & James Hicklen Sturgill; aunt, Janeen Dawn Godsey Carty; and great-uncle, Lt. Wallace Gene Humphries. He is survived by his mother, Jana Candice Godsey Sturgill; father, Samuel Mark Sturgill; sister, Carly Rose Dougherty; two nephews, Michael & Maxwell; two nieces, Megan & Serena; special cousins, Monta Colt Carty and Luther Bryan Sturgill II; uncle, James (Jimmy) Hendrix Godsey, Jr.; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Monday (September 28, 2015) at Trinity Memorial Centers Life Celebration Chapel (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport) from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will follow.
