Mr. Gary Lee Harvey, Sr.

Gary Lee Harvey, Sr., 57, of Kingsport went to sleep peacefully in the arms of our Lord on Tuesday (September 15, 2015) after a valiant battle with COPD. He was reunited with his parents, Oliver and Lola Harvey and infant brother. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, of 31 years, Janice Harvey; three sons, Gary Lee Harvey, Jr. & wife, Kelli of Georgia, Jerry Harvey & wife, Angela and Travis Harvey of Kingsport; two daughters, Cynthia Patterson & husband, Ronnie of Kingsport, and Kira Faidley & husband, Allen of Bristol; 11 grandchildren, Corinthian Harvey, Mia Harvey, Noah Harvey, Christopher Harvey, Hayley Harvey, Logan Harvey, Sophia Harvey, Jayden Harvey, Nataleigh Patterson, Xanadu Faidley, and Lauren Faidley; four sisters, Geneva Wood & husband, Joe, Wilma Harrison, Brenda Harvey, and Donna Harvey Davis; aunt, Reba Beckner; uncle, Joe Richardson; special brother, Jimmy Collette; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A committal service will be held Monday (September 21, 2015) at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Cemetery at 2 pm. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wellmont Holston Valley (3rd floor Wilcox Hall) who helped make Gary's recent hospital stay comfortable, especially Laura Ullmann.
