Mr. Clinton Earl Hayton

Clinton Earl Hayton, 77, formerly of Saltville, Va., passed away peacefully on Sunday (March 22, 2015) at Abingdon Health & Rehab Center. He was born May 29, 1939 to the late Earl & Martha Hayton. Clinton served his country honorably in the United States Army, serving two years in Germany. He enjoyed spending his time on the river bank fishing with his nieces and nephews, earning the name "Captain Uncle". He will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents, preceding Clinton in death are four brothers, Oakley, Jack, Buford, & Troy Hayton; and three sisters, Lois Mitchell, Gracie Brown, & Sarah Asby. He is survived by his brother, Gordon Hayton; seven sisters, Mildred Lawson, Patsy Taylor, Madeline Brown, Becky Abbott, Joyce Testerman, Rachel Hanshew, & Juantia Bonnell; and several nieces and nephews whom have special memories and love their Uncle Clinton. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Saltville, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Midway Memorial Chapel (2633 Highway 107 Saltville, Va. 24370).
