Mr. Brian Douglas Howell

Brian Douglas Howell, 40, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday (September 19, 2015). He was born in Dearborn, Michigan. Brian enjoyed watching his son, Jonathon, play little league football and baseball. Brian also loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing and wood working. He loved Detroit Red Wings hockey and Detroit Lions football. Brian was looking forward to being a grandparent to his first grandchild, Cayden. He will be remembered for having a heart of gold. Brian loved his family, and will be greatly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Christopher Howell; maternal grandparent, J.C. Hart; paternal grandparents, Scott (Garner) Howell & Mary Lou Ricketts; nephew, Brian Michael Morris and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife, Miranda Lee Hammonds Howell; daughter, Chasity Howell; son, Jonathon Howell; mother, Rose Mary Akers; father, Scott Douglas Howell; three sisters, Crystal Dawn Howell, Danyell Marie Borden & husband, Roscoe, Angela Lynn Carter & husband, Brandon; maternal grandmother, Mary Eva Hart; in-laws, Helen & husband, Steve Hammonds; two brother-in-laws, Joe and Brian Hammonds; three nieces, Gina, Ava, and Alivia; five nephews, Jay, Brandon, Jacob, Jace, and Noah; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Friday (September 25, 2015) at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home Life Celebration Chapel (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport) from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Jimmy Hammonds officiating. The committal service will be held Saturday (September 26, 2015) at 11 am at Hammonds Cemetery (Copper Ridge, Gate City, VA). The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Helen & Steve Hammonds (Copper Ridge, Gate City, VA). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to P.O.
