Monica Ann Gibson

Monica Ann Gibson, 43, gained her wings and entered the gates of Heaven unexpectedly at her residence on December 30th, 2024. She was a 1999 graduate of Volunteer High School. She graduated in 2009 from Northeast State Community College with her Nursing Degree. She pursued various fields of nursing for the last 15 years in the Intensive Critical Care, Home Health, Long Term and Rehabilitation care. She loved the beach, her dog Sassy Sue, and her family. Her nieces and nephews were the light of her life. She loved her special group of friends that she had been friends with for over 30 years!

She is proceeded in death by her father Michael Ray Gibson, her mother Rose Ann Johnson, her grandparents Martha Gibson and Ray Gibson.

She is survived by her stepdad, Junior Johnson; aunt Julia (Randall) Dunn, Malissa MCMurray, Donna Nelson, Cheryl Robinette; sisters, Stephanie Duncan, Kayla Brown, Christy Gibson, Ashley Gibson, and Monika Pounders; nieces, Jasmine Sensabaugh, Lily Robinette, Alyssa and Aubree Garrett, Piper Gibson, Alli Jo, and Willow Pounders; nephews, Newt and Anderson Pounders, Leeland Robinette; nieces, Brianna Brown, Alexis Robinette; cousins, Debra Depalo(Brian), Sabrina Dunn, Melinda Rose(Scott), Emily Robinette(Anthony), Carla Carland, Paul Carland(Kelly); special family friend, Paula Sucholbiak(ChaChi); special neighbors, Andy Byrd and Sylvia Cole; and

her special group of friends for over 30 years.

The family would like to say thank you to her friends and neighbors for their love and support during this very difficult time.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at Ridgeview Baptist Church ROC gymnasium in Church Hill on January 18, 2025 from 2pm to 6pm
