Misty Kay Quam

Misty Kay Quam, 48, of Gate City, VA, passed peacefully away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Misty was born to David and Judy Benton in Kingsport, Tennessee. She moved to Kansas as a young girl, then on to California before returning to her home in Gate City, Virginia. She met and married the love of her life, Chris Quam, and she had two children, Carter and Kaylee. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Misty loved animals of all kinds.

Those left to cherish Misty's memory include her husband, Christopher Quam; son, Carter Ratcliff; daughter, Kaylee Ratcliff; parents, David and Judy Benton; brother, Josh Benton; sister, Vicki Owens; mother-in-law, Mary Buckley; father-in-law, Gordon Quam; brother-in-law, Ross Quam; sister, Anjie Thomson; many nieces and nephews; beloved Cane Corso, Buck.

The family will receive friends at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM with Pastor Randall Moore officiating.
