Mildred Mae Grindstaff

Mildred "Millie" Mae Grindstaff, 77, of Kingsport, TN, passed peacefully away in her own home, surrounded by family, on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Millie spent most of her life in northeast Tennessee where she raised three children and achieved her associate's degree at Northeast State Technical Community College. Millie served as a community nurse for Limestone Medical Clinic for most of her nursing career. Church was always an important part of Millie's life; she taught Sunday School for many years and was also a member of choir.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Bethel Graham; brother, John Jr. Graham; sisters, Linda Garland, Margaret Crockett; husband, David Grindstaff.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Connie Stewart of Kingsport, TN; son, John Frank Stewart and husband, Greg Holcomb, of Bristol, TN; son, Jerry Stewart of Chuckey, TN; grandsons, Bradley, Jesse, and Dylan; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; a dear cousin, Sabie Wilson.
Millie's children will be holding a private ceremony with a Memorial Service to be announced at a later time.
