Mickey Mcarthur Plemons

Mickey Mcarthur Plemons, 81, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Mickey was born November 8,1942, to the late Hugo Latigo and Jewell Wood.

In addition to his parents, Mickey was also preceded in death by his grandson, Kristofer Skye Simerly; his daughter, Dondi Lynne King; and his son-in-law, Travis Scott Simerly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his spouse of 64 years, Frances "Frankie" Oreada Plemons of Bristol, TN; daughter, Kimberly Dion Plemons of Bristol, TN; son, Michael David Plemons of Bristol, TN; and daughter, Kelly Nichoel Simerly of Elizabethton, TN. His eight beloved grandchildren will deeply miss him: William "Travis" McDuffie and wife Nicole, Jeff Alan King, Kevin Scott King and fiancé Ashlee Mullins, Kaylan "Danielle" Plemons and significant other James Anthony Williams, Megan Brooke Tester and significant other Mark Anthony Jones II, Samantha Jo Stowers and husband Robert, James "Tyler" Pratt and wife Kaitlynn, and Keirstin Evelyn Jean Simerly; he also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren.

Mickey attended Bristol Tennessee High School and later completed his GED. He began his career with Sullivan County and Belew Sound & Visual, where he worked as an electronic engineer. Following that, he transitioned to a position at Kysor Panel Systems, where he dedicated 15 years to paneling work before retiring. Mickey found joy in fishing, spending time with his family, listening to music, and relaxing with his favorite TV shows.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6th between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Elizabeth Chapel.
