Michael Elahew Ramey, 62, of Church Hill, TN, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Michael was a devoted companion, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. A friend to many, to know him was to love him. His passions included working on cars, fishing, hunting ginseng, and spending time with his family and friends, who were the heart of his world.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Ramey; his parents, Clyde and Leonia Ramey; and his son, Michael Brandon Ramey.
Michael is survived by his children: Tekela Ramey (George Maves), Mack Ramey (Britni Simpson), Tenisha McAbee (Charles McAbee), Tiera Ramey, Mickey Tyler Ramey, Whitney O'Neil (Tim O'Neil), Nathaniel Ramey (Brandon Miller). He also leaves behind his siblings: Darlene Laster (David Laster), Daniel Ramey (Roxanne), Randall Ramey (Robin), and Sandra McCloud (Charles McCloud); his stepmother, Pamela Pratt Ramey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cherished friends. A special bond was shared with his nephew, Timothy Laster, who was more like a brother.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to David Laster, who was not only a brother-in-law but also a true brother in spirit, and to Darlene Laster, who was more like a mother than a sister.
