Merry Christine Mcallister

Merry Christine McAllister, 89, of Bristol, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
Born in west Tennessee, "Pete" had twelve brothers and sisters. Merry loved to cook for others, and she was known for her delicious banana bread, She also cooked in a nursing home for many years, in both west Tennessee and Arkansas. Merry was an active member at State Street Church of Christ in Bristol, Virginia.
Merry is preceded in death by three husbands, James Parnell, John Simmons, Bob McAllister; her son, Ron Parnell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Linda Silvey; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; many friends and her church family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at State Street Church of Christ, State Street, Bristol, Virginia, 24201. Dan Bailey will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Merry's family requests that contributions be made in her honor to Ballad Hospice House of Bristol.
