Mereda Ratliff

Mereda Pauline Ratliff, 83, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022.

Mereda was born in Kingsport, TN on September 7th, 1939 where she resided her whole life. After graduating from Sullivan West High School (Class of 1958) she worked briefly and then was married. Mereda loved her family and loved her friends. She was a kind, caring soul and a bit sassy. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Dorothy Melear; son, Jeff Ratliff; sister, Louise Rotenberry; brother, Leonard Melear; granddaughter, Amber; nephews, Scotty Rotenberry, Mike Booher; and niece, Tyra Morelock.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jennifer Wood and husband John; grandchildren, Austin Wood and wife Catrina, Hunter Wood; several great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Booher; nephews, Rusty Rotenberry, Tim Booher; and niece, Jody Vaughn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Trinity Memorial. A memorial service will follow.
