Melody Ramsey

Melody Ann (Horath) Ramsey, 74, of Rogersville, TN, went to be the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2022. Melody was born in Mattoon, Illinois, to Clifford and Bessie Horath. She met and married Larry Ramsey and they celebrated thirty-three years of marriage together. Melody loved music, bird watching, and sewing. She was happy and she enjoyed her life. In addition to her parents, Melody is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ramsey; sisters, Elizabeth Horath and Linda Foster; daughter, Thelma Ramsey. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Terrie Clark (Chad) and Cindy Barnett (William); grandchildren, Monica Jackson (William), Jacob Jackson, Stephanie Curtner, Rachel Barnett, Isaac Barnett; brothers, Robert Horath, Joseph Horath; sisters, Loretta Collins, Sharon Timm; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside ceremony will be held at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, Illinois, at a later date. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Ramsey family.
