Melissa Jane West, 45, of Kingsport, TN, left this world on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 rejoicing with Christ in victory.

Melissa, fondly known as a firecracker, illuminated every room she entered with her infectious energy. Her zest for life was unparalleled, and she was the heartbeat of any gathering, ensuring that there was never a dull moment. With a spirit brimming with joy, she effortlessly befriended everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark of warmth and laughter. Her love for people was boundless, and she held a genuine compassion for others, always lending a listening ear and offering unwavering support.

Deeply devoted to her faith, Melissa was a witness for the Lord, inspiring all who knew her with her unwavering commitment and encouragement. Her dedication extended beyond the walls of the church as she embraced her calling to spread light and hope, particularly among those in the hospital, those battling cancer, and their families.

Melissa's love knew no bounds, as evidenced by her devotion to her family, her cherished music ministry at church, and her affection for her beloved cat and bunnies. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace diverse cultures fearlessly, and she approached life with an open heart and an authentic demeanor, never shying away from being her true self.

In the past five years, Melissa's relationship with her faith blossomed, guiding her to become an even brighter beacon of love and kindness. Her profound impact will forever be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Paul Delbert Moore, Jr.; her son, Hunter Tevis Paul West; and her daughter, Faith Elizabeth West.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Tevis Wayne West; her daughter, Destiny Alexandra West; her mother, Nancy Jane Moore; her brother, Paul Wilbur Moore; her sister, Betty Viola Ruth Brown, and husband Michael Brown; and her parasitic twin, Katrina Wujtewicz.

A Celebration of Life to honor Melissa's remarkable journey will be announced at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together and rejoice in the profound impact she had on all who knew her.
