Melanie K. Davis

Melanie "Mel" K. Davis, 54, of Mt. Carmel, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
Born in Blacksburg, Virginia, Melanie was proud of her career as a paralegal, working for several law firms over the years. She took great pride in her children and found joy in outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and swimming, taking any opportunity to be surrounded where bugs and sunshine are around.
A devoted wife and loving mother, Melanie shared 34 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Rick. Together, they traveled across the country, from California to Texas, including a memorable two-week stay in Port Aransas, which they found beautiful. She was an avid supporter of the Vols and UT, known for her outgoing personality, honesty, and kind heart. Melanie was deeply involved with her church, New Fellowship Ministries, in Church Hill, TN.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ricky Meade and Susan (Mullins), and her daughter, Veronica. Melanie leaves behind her cherished memories with her husband of 34 years, Rick; her son, Jonathan; her daughters, Diane Karnes and Kim McMurray (husband Daniel); her grandchildren, Camryn, Madison, Alana, Bradley, and Makayla; and her brother, Joshua Goudy.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, June 4, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by the funeral service with Pastor David Almen officiating. Burial will be private at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
