Megan Lindsay House

Megan Lindsey House, age 34, of Kingsport Tn, left this present world for her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Megan was a 2007 graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School. After graduation, she worked at various jobs. Most recently, she was employed at Hope Haven Thrift Store, where she enjoyed cleaning and organizing the merchandise. Megan loved to walk and could often be seen enroute to work, to shop, or to eat at one of her favorite local spots. Megan was a good friend, a good helper, and a good worker.

She loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She attended Evangel Family Worship Center where she loved to praise the Lord by lifting her arms toward heaven. She was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed studying God's Word with her faith-friend, Mike Herron. Megan suffered much loss in her short life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby House in 2005, her mother Becky (Hagy) House in 2010, and her older brother Daniel House in 2021. She also suffered the loss of an infant child. Megan will be remembered for her speedy speech, her loud laugh, her tom-boyish ways, her beautiful curls, and her determination to make it to heaven.

Those left to mourn her include members of both the House & Hagy families and one stray cat named Meshach. Megan's beloved "Aunt Gail" (Hagy) Newland, is the last living member of James Carson and Nealy Belle (Roberts) Hagy's children. Gail was a positive influence in Megan's life and they shared a special relationship.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Evangel Family Worship Center, 1928 Bloomingdale Road, Thursday, February 8th, 2024. Visitation will be 6-7pm followed by the service at 7pm.

Graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 9th at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pastor-"Aunt Penny" Hagy and Preacher Chris Carroll will officiate.

'God will wipe every tear from Megan's eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Rev. 21:4 Amen!
