Maryann Helen Chastain

Maryann Helen Chastain, 55, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.
Born in New Albany, Indiana, to Thomas and Catherine Alexander, Maryann met and married her high school sweetheart, David Chastain. The couple had four children, David Jr., Melissa, Stephen, and Dakota. She was also a devoted grandmother to Miracle, Dean, Emily, Gracie, Samantha, Mallory, Damien, and Wayne. Maryann enjoyed riding motorcycles with David, as well as shopping with Stacey Joyner. She also loved getting her nails done.
In addition to her parents, Maryann is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Chastain; her brother, Thomas Alexander, Jr., mother-in-law, Mary I. Chastain; brother-in-law, James Carty.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Chastain; daughter, Melissa (Jeff Arnold) Chastain; sons, David Chastain, Jr., Dakota (Jessica) Walsh; adored grandchildren; loved ones who helped raise her, Emmitt and Opal Spears, Vern and Glenda Johnson, Mike "Poppy" Whitfield; brother, Anthem Alexander; brothers-in law, Richard Chastain, Kenny Carty; a multitude of friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Trinity Memorial Centers, Kingsport, Tennessee. Graveside committal will be at 1 PM, Friday, December 2, 2022 at Fordtown Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingsport, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
