Mary Kathryn Taylor

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (KJV, Romans 8:28) Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Taylor, 48, passed away Thursday (August 28) after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was a fearless survivor whom never met a stranger. She had a love for animals, especially Gizmo, her cat. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling, and talking to others. She was well known in her neighborhood by all as "the snack lady", she enjoyed giving to others. She will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Taylor; paternal grandparents, Harrison and Virginia Taylor; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Sarah Dykes; four uncles, Elmer, Syrl, Bob, and J.C. Dykes; great grandmother, Mary Neeley, whom she was named after. She is survived by her loving mother, Linda Louise Taylor, of Kingsport; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special life long friend Misty (Sis); special cousin, Cameron; a great host of close friends. A memorial service will be conducted at Trinity Memorial Centers chapel on Tuesday (September 2) from 6 to 7 p.m with the funeral service to follow with Pastor Jack Dykes officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to 417 Barnett Drive Lot 31 Kingsport, Tn. 37664.
