Mary Etta Wade

February 18, 1937 — October 31, 2021

Mary Etta Wade, 84, of, Blountville, TN, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughters on Sunday, October 31st, 2021. Mary was born in Whitesburg, Tennessee in 1937. She was a loving wife, mother, Mamaw, and best friend. She loved and cared for all those who were around her. She was a caregiver her entire life and enjoyed crafting and creating. She always put others before herself. She taught us all through her actions how to love each other truly and unconditionally. She will be missed for the rest of our days. We take comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus Christ, our savior, and is reunited with her loved ones who had gone before. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James A. Wade Jr.; parents, Haskell and Cidna Helton; son, Timothy Wade; sisters, Betty Taylor, Ruth Howerton; brother, Dana Helton. Mary is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Shipley and husband Ron, Pamela Whitt and husband Tom; grandchildren, Elizabeth Shipley-Williams, Kristen Smith and husband Andy, Brittany Crain and husband Josh, Tiffany Whitt, Thomas Whitt, Jacob Shipley, Mary Collier and husband Michael, Kaitlyn Reed and husband Skylar; great-grandchildren, Addelyn, Lorelei, Kingston (Crain), Eliza (Williams), Annora (Smith); brother, William "Bill" Helton and wife Jan; special nephew, Bob Howerton; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation and services will be private for the family, however, the service will be streamed live on her obituary page on Trinity. Bob Howerton will be officiating and special music will be provided by Brian Henry. Graveside service will take place at Holston View Cemetery on Thursday, November 4th at 2 pm. Those wishing to attend are asked to be at the cemetery no later than 15 minutes prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Thomas Whitt, Jacob Shipley, Josh Crain, Michael Collier, Andy Smith, Ron Shipley, and Tom Whitt. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
