Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home Obituaries

Martha Abigail Ruth Fox

July 25, 1977 - January 16, 2015

Loving mother, sister, and friend, Martha Abigail Ruth Fox died on Friday (January 16, 2015) at
her home, in Kingsport, TN.

Abigail was born at home in Swansea, S.C. in 1977. She was always in motion, exploring life, the world, and other people. In college, she backpacked across Europe, spoke fluent French, and lived a year in a tiny apartment overlooking the rooftops of Aix en Provence. She graduated from LenoirRhyne University and also earned her Master’s degree in International and Intercultural Communications from the University of Kentucky.

Abigail was love and laughter. She had a gift for exaggerating situations that was disarming and hilarious. She gave crushing hugs exactly when they were needed. She loved her family and friends without reservation. Abigail loved to write letters. She sent them in elaborately decorated envelopes stuffed to the point of structural failure. Like her, the words within were composed of energy and emotion; italics and capitals, underscores and exclamations.

Faced with a multitude of challenges, Abigail met each with a steady faith, sunshiny optimism, determination, patience, and great love.

Abigail is preceded in death by her parents, Merry Claire Fox-Fuller and Robert Lamar Fuller.

She is survived by her beautiful children, Gabriel and Merry Grace; and siblings Jos’h, Elly, Jon, and Zoë.

Abigail’s family and friends will be holding a private memorial service to honor her memory and life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Interfaith Hospitality Network athttp://ihngk.org/Make%20a%20Donation.html
