Mark Owen Whiffen

Mark Owen Whiffen, 52, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday (September 18, 2014). He enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, deep sea fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jason Whiffen; and father, John Francis Whiffen. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Dedreia Whiffen; his children, Nicole Whiffen, John Whiffen, Zachary Whiffen, and Daniel (Joey) Colangelo; granddaughter, Haleigh James; mother, Anne Cunningham; sister, Anne Marie Cunningham; mother in law, Jean Sloan; and a host of close friends and family. The family would like to express their gratitude to Wellmont Hospice and Holston Valley Medical Center (Wilcox Hall W3). A memorial service will be conducted at Trinity Memorial Centers on Monday (October 6, 2014) at 5 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Will Shewey officiating.
