Mark Blankenship

Mark Anthony Blankenship, 48, of Kingsport, TN, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, August 19, 2022. One of ten children, Mark was born to Robert and Hazel Blankenship in Grundy, Virginia. He spent most of his life in Kingsport, Tennessee, where he enjoyed working in construction and doing remodels. He also loved his family and greatly enjoyed family gatherings. In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny Blankenship, Gary Blankenship, Robert Blankenship, Ronnie Blankenship. Those left to cherish his memory are sisters, Elizabeth Hall, Betty Cole, Lisa Blankenship; brothers, Bill Blankenship, Timmy Ray Cox; multiple nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mark Blankenship will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Free Gift Gospel Mission, 1125 Maple Street, Kingsport, Tennessee, 37660. Pastor Vern Hall will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Marks name be made to Free Gift Gospel Mission.
