Marie Causby Griffin

Causby Marie Griffin, 74, of Weber City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25th, 2024 at Nova Health and Rehab Center, Weber City, VA. She was born in 1949 in Scott County, VA to the late Denny Randolph and Monie Cleo Reed.

Causby was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, taking care of others, and spending time with her family. She had a wonderful smile and a big wonderful laugh. She gave great hugs. She was cherished by family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Barnette and her twin brother, Carson Reed; and her sisters, Reba Sloan, Sue Barnette, and Sandra Reed; brothers-in-law, Elwood Griffin, Elmer (Dee) Griffin, Carlos Griffin, Charles (Gabby) Griffin, Bobby Griffin, James Burke; sisters-in-law, Peggy Griffin, Janice Griffin Gibson, Marie Griffin Burke, and Jane Griffin.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 54 years, Kenny Griffin; her sons, Gerald Griffin (Nickie) of Yuma, VA, Chad Griffin (April) of Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Chandra Griffin-Dean (Tanner) of Weber City,VA, Alex Griffin of Gate City, VA, brother, Jimmy Barnette (Linda); brothers-in-law, Gene Griffin (Sally), Dewey Griffin (Inece); sister-in-law, Doris Griffin; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Memorial service will follow with Pastor Jody Hammonds officiating.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Nova Health and Rehab Center, Weber City, Va for their compassionate care of Marie.
