Maria Lynn Bennett

Maria Lynn Bennett, 47, of Gray, TN, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 13, 2018 with her family and friends by her side. Maria was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. She attended Sullivan South. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She met Greg, the love of her life, and they were wed a year later. They were inseparable and enjoyed traveling together. She always made sure her daughter and baby brother got to travel with her too. To know her was to know she was a bit of a fireball but was passionate about being a close family. Maria also loved her dogs, Milly, Lilly, Fancy, and Rebel. She was filled with a lot of love and she will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Davis Hensley; and brother, Dale Collins. Maria is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Greg Bennett; daughter, Summer Roberts; granddaughters, Hannah Rhodes, Alanah Hammonds, and Madison Shivery; father, Ben and wife, Linda Collins; brothers, Josh and wife, Jennifer Hensley, and Todd Collins; sister in law, Beverly Austin; and best friend, Lori Gouge. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Buffalo Ridge Baptist (197 Suncrest Street, Gray, TN) on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Jody Jenkins officiating. Graveside service will be held at East Tennessee Cemetery on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11am.
