Mom Momma Grandma Granny Great Grandma Darge Margie Marge Grandma Margie Mrs. Sherman Margaret Frances Elizabeth Mosher Sherman was known by many names to family, friends and strangers to whom she opened her heart. She no longer walks this earthly path with us, but her names and our memories of her love, acts of kindness, and her helpful words will always live in us. May you find comfort and inspiration in remembering her love, her unique perspectives of life, her wisdom, her life's stories, and her courage. And may we continue her legacy by always being there for others. Margaret Frances Elizabeth Sherman died March 5, 2019 at home where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Mark Lambert. She was born on May 11, 1928 in the Bronx of New York City and was approaching her 91st birthday. Her parents were Margaret Elizabeth Cahill and Frank Mosher. Margie's husband, Howard E. Sherman died in 1991. Margie and Howard were married in New York City when he was a young sailor. From there they lived in several states as a Navy family. They were most often stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia which became their permanent home. Margie was proud of her husband's military service, often manning the "home front" with four children, while he was out to sea. After Howard retired and their children were teenagers, she returned to work as a line tester at the telephone company. Margie is survived by three daughters and a son and their spouses, Mary Ann and Russell Hancock, Judy and Mark Lambert, Cheryl and Bernhard Traud, Richard and Kathy Sherman. Her grandchildren are Shawn Daniels, Cindy Wade, Neil Hancock, Jesse Lambert, and Rachel Sherman, along with great-grandchildren G. W. Daniels, Alan Daniels, Tyler Edge, Leah Edge, and Lily Lambert. Margie held her first great-great grandson, Bryan, this past January and he brought her much joy. Her nephew Richard Sims and spouse Judy were also dear to her, as well as their children and grandchildren. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Sherman family.
