Marcia Joanne Gordon

Marcia Joanne (Griffin) Gordon, age 65, passed away on February 26, 2025, after a courageous 16-year battle against cancer.

She was born in Miami, Florida, on September 12, 1959, to the late Milford and Molly Griffin. In addition to her parents, Marcia was also preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Joseph Gordon; her brothers, Hal and David Griffin; her grandparents, Edward and Gertrude Schultz and Viola and Henry Griffin; and a special uncle and aunt, Clarence "Dub" and Betty Sligar.

Marcia was a nurse for over 30 years, having worked in Florida and Tennessee. She loved gardening, reading, playing board games, and spending time with loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Barry (Jenny) McCullough of Florida and Lukas (Crystal) McCullough of Kingsport; her sisters, Malinda Griffin of Mountain City and Clarissa (Steve) Schmal of North Carolina; her brothers, Eddie (Tammy) of Mountain City, and Johnny (Teresa) Griffin of Florida; her grandsons, Ciylis McCullough of Florida, Mason McCullough of Kingsport, and Dillion McCullough of North Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Sephrona McCullough of Kingsport; and many special nieces and nephews whom she cherished; her special babies, Tyler, Donley, Hailey, Austin, Riley, Michael, Isaiah, and Jay (who called her "Marnie"). She also loved her extra family, David and Linda Malone, Sasha Malone, Anthony and Holly Malone, and Mike and Deanna Malone.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Amedisys Hospice of Kingsport, especially Malika, whom Marcia adored.

A Memorial Service for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
