Luna Star Cordell

Luna Star Cordell, 28 days, of Church Hill, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital surrounded by her family and friends who love her deeply.

Luna was a beautiful little girl, called " Luna Bug" by her family and friends. She was a very happy baby who loved to be read and sung to. Luna was a fighter and was known for her strong grip when she held onto her Mommy and Daddy. Luna was so strong and touched many lives in her time here.

Luna is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Paul and Frances Zion, Jesse Greenwell; maternal grandfather, Brian Beard; aunt, Tracey Weeks, and a host of ancestors that met her at Heaven's doors.

She is survived by her father and mother, Bobby Cordell II and Hailey Weeks; paternal grandmother, Lori Cordell, paternal grandfather, Bobby Cordell I, and step-grandmother, Rosie Cordell; great-grandmother, Donna Cordell; maternal grandparents, Grammy Amy Presnell and Robert Weeks; great-grandmother, Kathy Bishop and husband Daniel Bishop; maternal great-grandfather, Jack Presnell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dog, Smokey.

Luna's Celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 12th, 2023, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN. Receiving of friends will be from 3pm to 5pm, with the service to be included.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald Mcdonald house, or bring a stuffed safari or circus animal to the memorial which will be donated in Luna Star Cordell's name to the local childrens hospital.
