Lou Virginia McMurray

Lou Virginia Laughlin McMurray, 86, of Bristol, TN, went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 surrounded by her family.

At the age of 9 years old she felt the calling in her heart to be saved and baptized. She was an active member of Gardener's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She would often express her love for her church and church family.

She was preceded by her beloved son, Marty; parents, Lindsey and Willie Kate (Ramey) Laughlin; great grandson, Walker Lunsford; sister, Shirley McMurray; brother Jim Laughlin and wife Donna; son-in-law, Russell Stewart; sister-in-law, Linda Laughlin; adopted grandchild, Jennifer Burk.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Janet Burk, Kathy Stewart; brothers, Darrell Laughlin and wife Patsy, LeRoy Laughlin; grandchildren, Jaime Weatherly and husband Rob, Kristy Reece, Brandon Little and wife Robyn, Rachel Taylor and husband Matthew; adopted grandchildren, Brandon Burk, Natasha Burk and husband Chris, William Burk, and Michael Burk; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 26th from 11:00 am to noon at Gardeners Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Service to follow with officiating Elder Josh Johnson and Reverend Rex McMurray.

Burial will follow at Gardeners Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Little, Kain Lunsford, Zhane Lunsford, Seth Reece, Rob Weatherly, Jacob Donald, Alden Reece.

Flowers will be accepted or a Memorial Contributions can be made to Gardeners Chapel Cemetery c/o Don Huffman (3420 Cardinal St Kingsport TN 37660) or Barbara Musselman (3332 Lightwood Street Kingsport, TN 37660).
