Lonnie Joe Statzer, 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was a retired small business owner. Lonnie was an avid hunter and fisherman until his health prevented it. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to sing and praise the Lord. There was nothing Lonnie loved more than his friends and family. He never turned someone away if there was any way he could help. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Murray Statzer and Joe Saul; sons, Randy Statzer, Bobby Statzer, and Lester Statzer; stepson, Michael Templeton; brothers, Jimmy Statzer, Roy Statzer, Charlie Saul, James Saul, and Fred Saul; sisters, Ruby Hass, Lillian Price, Elsie Neff, Mary Hughes, Ona Lee Saul and Maxie Howington; and special brother-in-law and business partner, Lee Egan. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wilma Statzer; son, Billy Statzer; daughter, Elsie "Sis" Falin; stepdaughters, Kristy Laduke and Sherry Linkous and husband, Jamie; adopted daughters, Kaytlin Nichole Laduke and Taylor Lawson and husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Misty Byington, Michael Falin, Valerie Statzer, Lee Butler, Tammy Salyers, Cyndi Statzer, Wesley Statzer, Natasha Statzer, Ruby Barker, Jessica Haney and Nicholas Linkous; several great and great great grandchildren; and sister, Virgie Rhoton and husband, Bill. The family would like to thank several members of the "Kerns" family and friends for their help during his illness. The family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm with a Celebration of Life to follow with Reverend Cecil Kerns officiating.
