Lisa Joane Mahon

Lisa J. Mahon, age 62, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Born on September 23, 1962, to parents Conrad and Joane Nelson, Lisa grew up in Spruce Creek, PA, attended Juniata Valley High School in Alexandria, PA, and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1984. She retired at the rank of Major after serving 22 years in aircraft maintenance, finance, and logistics officer roles.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Conrad Nelson. She is survived by her brother, Steven Nelson, and sister, Linda Strubble. Also left to cherish Lisa's memory are her husband, Terrance; son, Tyler; and her daughters, Tara, Erica, and Alyssa.

Lisa lived her life with a passion for family, friends, and faith. Those who knew her were also delighted in her shared passion for food and travel.

In accordance with Lisa's wishes, there will be no formal services held.
