It is with heavy hearts we announce that Lena Belle Sloan, 76, of Kingsport, TN, gained her heavenly reward on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 and went home to be with her beloved husband Vernon Gordon Sloan.
Lena was a loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was loved by so many people and her kindness will be missed by so many. Even in her later years, she never slowed down and never lost her spunk. Lena was always making people laugh and was a friend to many. She had a peaceful spirit and she found that in her devoted faith and love for The Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gordon Sloan; daughter, Alicia Hicks; her granddaughter, Tiffany Crawford; as well as her parents Brownlow and Hettie Reed.
Left to keep her memory alive is her children, Brian Sloan, Sharon Sloan, Amber Sloan and fiancé Brandon Huffman; grandsons, Justin Sloan and Haden Castle.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 6th, 2021 beginning at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff and nurses of Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care and time they spent with Lena.
