Leland Glenn Lane

Leland Glen Lane, 94, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Leland was born in Slant, Virginia May 24th, 1927. He was a lifelong farmer in Virginia where he spent most of his life. Tobacco was his primary crop, however he had multiple vegetable gardens which he took to the stock pen to sell to locals. He was an avid collector of Case Knives, and loved spending time with his grand kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Rena Lane; son, Larry Lane; his partner of 20 years, Fannie Housewright; and 10 other siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Thelma Martin; sons, Harold and Grady Lane; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family members. Graveside will be 11am Sunday, February 13th, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Midway, Virginia. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Lane family.
