Larry Thomas Spacek, 67, of Kingsport, TN, and Pennsburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Larry was born in Sellersville, PA, and spent much of his life in eastern Pennsylvania. He attended high school at Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA. He worked for many years at East Penn Manufacturing before moving south to Tennessee, where he worked at Lowe’s and Advanced Auto Parts. He loved cars and motorcycles, going to the movies, and especially his animals. He had a special knack for adopting puppies from the largest dog breeds and raising them to be the sweetest (and heaviest) lap dogs.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Mary Smith Spacek, and his father, Frank Joseph Spacek.
He is survived by his son and future daughter-in-law, Josh and Gabby Spacek, as well as his two grandchildren, Tanner and Cleetus. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Lesa and Paul Worsham, as well as their daughters, Rebecca and Emily.
Larry is loved and missed. His cat, Fluffy, and dog, Cisco, will also miss him deeply.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 28, at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church in Kingsport, TN. Visitation begins at 1pm, and the service will be held at 2pm. Pastor Chris Brown will officiate.
