Emblem

Kermit M. Stallard, 92, of Fall Branch, TN, passed away on Friday, September 6th, 2024 with his family by his bedside.

He was a man of his word, a hard worker, and a believer in Jesus Christ. Kermit was a carpenter his entire life, having worked for many prestigious families in the greater Tri-Cities area. He was a master craftsman with wood, and he loved being a part of clients' dreams coming true. He built and remodeled many area homes, and each of those customers always received a Merry Christmas call from him each year. He was an avid hunter, but fishing was his true passion. It became his first choice, alongside his daughter Gina. Many memories were made and cherished between them during their annual spring fishing trips.

Kermit was one of nine children born to Milton and Osha Powers Stallard of Coeburn, Virginia. He was the final sibling to join his family of loved ones, and no doubt, there was a reunion filled with love, hugs, laughter, and the family rook tournament. Along with this reunion were his oldest daughter Darla and his baby boy Robbie.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Crawford Stallard; daughters Melissa Stallard, Regina Flanary, and Sherry Howington; sons Todd and Johnny; five grandchildren, Crystal, Alisha, Steven, Lindsey, and Kacie; and four great-grandchildren, Elliott, Brody, Aiden, and Vallen. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Kermit dearly, as well as the best friend a man could ask for, Elbert Taylor.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Trinity Memorial in Kingsport on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, from noon until 2:00 pm. Military honors will follow, conducted by American Legion Hammond's Post 3/Gate City 265. The funeral procession will proceed to Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, Virginia, where Kermit will be laid to rest with his parents and siblings.

Special thanks to the VA Mountain Home medical teams and the Rogersville Satellite office for many years of excellent care, the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their love and care during this difficult time, and last but not least, Comfort Keepers for their help in caring for and loving our daddy, especially Holly.

Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
