Kenneth Ray Farmer (Papa Roundman) Kenneth Ray Farmer, 64, of Kingsport, TN, departed this earthly world surrounded by his family, and gained his angle wings on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at his home after a very short battle with cancer. He fought a courageous battle as hard as his body would allow since being diagnosed on Augus 22, 2019. Kenneth was born on October 15th, 1954 in Columbia, South Carolina to Brad and Celesta Farmer. He retired as a machine operator from Portola Packaging in 2002. He enjoyed spending time with his family but most of all he loved going fishing and camping with his grandchildren along with going on trips to Gatlinburg when he could. He was proceeded in death by his mother and step father, J.R. and Celesta Bowser; father, Brad Farmer; great niece, Celesta Michelle Brooks; great nephew, Zach Harrell; and several other loved ones. He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Norma Farmer; his 6 children, Tammy (Ron), Jamie (Sheila) of Kingsport, Kenneth (Carissa), Joseph (Amy), Heather (Jason), Justin (Leann) of Georgia; brothers, Bradley (Rita) of Kingsport, and Eric of Florida; sisters, Gloria (dean), Linda, Connie (Dallas) all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Shane (Jess), Jordan, Cory, Shanna (Brandon), Elizabeth (Michael), Jennifer (Daryl) and several more; 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Steve Alvis. Kenneths family would like to thank all of the Amedisys Hospice Care Team for their care during this trying time of need, with a special thanks to his RNs, Cody (Joe) and Rachael; and social, worker Connie. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th, from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Trinity Memorial Centers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Norma for help with expenses.
