Kathy Margaret Ferguson, 61, passed away Tuesday (November 18, 2014) after a long battle with illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her great sense of humor, infectious laugh, and dazzling smile will be missed by all. She was a graduate of Wheeling High School, Class of 1971, where she played flute in the marching band. She graduated from William Rainey Harper College later as an RN and was an employee of Holston Valley Hospital until she became disabled. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Pruden; her mother, Helen Carley; and her sister, Karen Smith. She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Rick Ferguson; her daughter Lori and husband Shawn Randolph; son Matthew and wife Kathy Smith; grandson, Matthew and wife Whitney Randolph; granddaughter Sierra and husband Shane Perry; great-granddaughter Cheyenne Randolph; sisters, Michele Pruden and Margie Pruden; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends whom she all loved dearly. The family will be having a private ceremony sometime in the future due to her husband's current illness.
