Kathleen Whetsel Britt, age 69, passed away suddenly on February 6th 2019 at her home in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was born on the 2nd of December 1949 and grew up in Sullivan County Tennessee. Kathleen was the last living daughter of the late Homer Ray and Edith Whetsel and spent most of her life in Tennessee until her marriage to Walter Naylor. After marriage she moved to Germany where her husband was stationed for a brief time. Kathleen was loved by all and was a very caring and giving person. She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Ray and Edith Whetsel; sisters, Dinah L. Jones and Sarita Gizzi; daughter, Faye Naylor; niece, Nicole Bergen; and ex husband Timothy Britt. Kathleen is survived by her sons, Brian K. Naylor and Brad W. Naylor; daughter in-law, Ramona K. Naylor; nephew, Terry Burgin; aunt, Faye Constantino; grandsons, Andrew Naylor, Layne Naylor, Mitchell Pennington; great grandson, Niklaus Pennington; and niece, Tamara Thatcher of Hellertown Pennsylvania. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at Trinitys Downtown Life Celebration Center (Model City Event Center, 201 E Center Street, Kingsport, TN) on Sunday February 10th from 1pm to 3pm. Guests are invited to share their memories and stories with the family. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Britt family.
